Sunday Horseback and Creek Walk

Hi everybody, today we´re just passing through town on the way back from the horseback riding adventure. Unfortunately we don´t have the laptop or time enough to get our full blog in, so we wanted to pass the message along for you to look for the full blog in the morning. I´ll try to get it ready to post on our way back through Puerto Jimenez tomorrow morning if the internet cafe is open.

It was a long, but fantastic day so far -- up at 4am with a rainshower, howlers at 5 am, beach walk at 6, breakfast at 7, and depart for our adventures at 8. For the horseback ride we had 13:
Alex
Randy
Cameron
Ryan
Danielle
Mary Kate
Anna
Emily
Sean
Jeanne
Moira
Mary Cate
Gary -- CB
The ride was awesome -- the kids had some great excitement with some galloping through the rainforest!

The rest of the group did the creekwalk and Gary Morgan just picked us up with some fun stories on that adventure. More details soon...

Well, we´ve got to go now. Need to get back and cleaned up before dinner and our prayer service tonight near the beach. We send all our love - the kids are thriving -- enjoying each other and the Osa.

CB out

I'm watching Amazing Race tonight and imagining what fun you you had riding a horse through the rain forest! Did you have a blast? I bet you see some awesome plants and tree roots? Do they have cycades down there? I saw some in the rain forest in Australia. I bet the beach walk was cool, too! did you see the sunrise? Your mom and I talked today and figured you were busy with your science lesson. Can't wait to read more tomorrow.

It was pretty quiet here on Friday without you..hmm does that mean that you all are the talkative ones?? The photos from the air were amazing. Keep blogging and sending us updates. Well by now I would imaging you're pretty adept at horseback riding. I'm anxious to hear how you enjoyed the flight on the smaller 2-prop plane. Like riding a roller coaster hey??? Keep up the great work CB and all you lucky chaperones... Keep the rodents at bay and keep the sunscreen on.

    SON: Under water, Dad.
FATHER: Under water? What do you mean?
    SON: They're below C level.

SMART STUDENT: I'm taking French, Spanish, and Algebra this year.
LESS SMART STUDENT: Okay. Let me hear you say "good evening" in Algebra.

STUDENT: But I don't think I deserve a zero on this exam.
TEACHER: Neither do I, but it's the lowest mark I can give you.

He thought it was a high school!

  24. Hey Connor, it's Mom. So fun to see the pictures of you all on the creek hike. MONKEYS... you must have been loving it. Things are good here. I leave for Steamboat tomorrow through Friday night. Will mainly be working, but hope to squeeze in some skiing. I'm sure it will be fun, but the beach and warm weather look much more tempting than snow! Brian Schmitt is coming to stay with Michael, Morgan and Patrick. ENJOY!!! Love ya.
